NDA and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2010

The UPSC will hold the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2010 on 22nd August, 2010 for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA for 126th Course and Naval Academy for 88th Indian Navale Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 30th June, 2011.

• Eligibility Conditions:
• Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st January, 1995 are eligible.
• Educational Qualification:
• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force and Naval Wing of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy: 12th Class Pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• Candidates who are appearing in 12th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
• How to apply:
• Candidates who wish to apply off-line must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2010 commencing from 10th July, 2010 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service.

• Conditions of Eligibility:
• Age Limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01st July 2010. Upper age limit is relaxable as per govt. rules.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree of a recognized University with at least one of the subjects namely animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology or a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in Appendix-III of Rules for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2010 published in the Gazette of India dated 20th February, 2010.
• How to Apply:
• The Commission proposes to make available online application submission for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2010 from 27th Feb, 2010 to 15th march 2010 for which a separate notice is to be issued.

Civil Services Examination, 2010

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2010 on 23rd May 2010 for recruitment tot he Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services/ Posts. The Examination will be held at various centres across the cournty.

• Eligibility Conditions:
• Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01.08.2010. (Relaxable as per rules)
• Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
  
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the Appendix-III of Rules for the Civil Services Examination, 2010 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 02.01.2010.
• Number of Attempts:
  
• General Category: Four
• P.H. Candidates belonging to General Category: Seven
• Other Backward Classed: Seven
• Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST): No limit
  
• Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (specified in Appendix III of the Notice published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-. Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination.
• Fees: Rs. 50/- through Central Recruitment Fess Stamp Only. Female/ SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fees (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees)
